Custom-made, virtually undetectable aligners

Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment used to treat irregularities in the alignment of teeth. Whether teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, Advanced Dentistry Sydney will help you gain a straight smile. All you have to do is wear your custom made aligners and change your aligners every 1-2 weeks. In some cases Invisalign® may not be appropriate and full banding orthodontic treatment may be required and we will make the appropriate referral to an orthodontist.

Stage 1: Consultation

During the initial visit, we will assess your oral health and suitability for Invisalign® taking radiographs and digital impressions of your teeth and send them, along with a set of precise instructions, to Invisalign®.

Stage 2: Clincheck Treatment Planning

Invisalign® uses advanced 3D computer imaging technology to transform your digital scans into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your individual treatment plan.

Stage 3: Receive your aligners in a few weeks

During your next visit, you will receive your first set aligners. Another appointment is made in 2 weeks to place tooth coloured attachments on your teeth, which help the teeth move.

Stage 4: Wear your aligners

You’ll wear each set of aligners day and night for about 1-2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Total treatment time averages 6 to 15 months, but will vary from case to case. You’ll visit us on average every 6-8 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Stage 5: The finished product

When treatment is finished we will issue you with retainers that you must wear regularly in order for the teeth to stay where they finish. Otherwise teeth will want to move back to where they started, otherwise known as relapse.

We invite you to contact us today on 9816 4885 to see how we can help you.

*Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
